DIAMONDS ARE CREATED UNDER PRESSURE

Ravensdale Poll herefords aim is simple - to be a leading seed stock producer focusing on commercially important traits, producing fit and fertile bulls with growth and finishing ability.

With a registered herd of over 350 breeding females and around 150 heifer calves annually vying for a place in our herd. There is alot of pressure on females to perform and remain in the herd or for heifers to be selected to come into the herd.

2015 Beef Week Fields Days

2015 Bull Sale Preview

Ravensdale looks forward to inviting new and old clients to the 2015 Beef Week Field Days on Wednesday the 28th January to view a cross section of herd and the 2015 sale bulls. The Field Day is an excellent opportunity to meet other breeders and discuss what Ravensdale genetics have to offer. Possession of the new property does not take place until mid February so cattle will be available for inspection at “Glenville, Lankey Creek approx. 30 km east of the Hume Hwy towards Jingellic.

On display at Glenville will be approximently 85 herd of cattle consisting of Bulls, cows and calves, yearling bulls, 2yo Heifers and yearling Heifers.

2014 has been a significant year for Ravensdale programme with the biggest development being the incoming relocation of the stud herd to the Holbrook district.

We originally established our self at Tamworth but after much debate I decided to relocate to Holbrook.

“I am really excited with the property, the district and it particular the services network available to the local cattle industry. I also like the fact there is so many successful seed stock herds nearby, it all helps set the bar at a level which drives you to do better.”

The moon with Ravensdale’s new home, it offers great exposure being on the Hume Hwy only 22km north of Holbrook but more importantly it is an outstanding grazing property on the renowned Billabong creek with reliable water, excellent pastures and fertile soils.

‘I am really excited about what lies ahead for the Australian cattle industry, with the shrinking global herd and rapid growth of the Asian and European appetites forred meat particularly within their huge middle class populations the ducks are really lining up’ said Brian. ‘We are already seeing it in the US where records prices are being paid for slaughter cattle and concer throughout a hungry Asia that they will have a bidding war for Australian beef, you would have to back that our beef industry has very prosperous times ahead’.
